Healing After a Workplace Injury—Support for You

Support for Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and Life Transitions

You’ve been through something unexpected and overwhelming. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety about returning to work, flashbacks, or uncertainty about your future and who you are now—you don’t have to navigate this alone.

What You’re Experiencing Makes Sense

After an injury, it’s not just your body that needs healing.

Many people begin to notice:

  • Anxiety about returning to work
  • Flashbacks or nightmares after the injury
  • Trouble sleeping or relaxing
  • Feeling on edge, irritable, or withdrawn
  • A sense of loss—of identity, independence, or confidence
  • Fear and uncertainty about the future or depression

You might be wondering:

  • Will I ever feel like myself again?
  • What if I get hurt again?
  • What does my future look like now?

These responses are not a sign of weakness—they are your mind and body trying to make sense of something overwhelming.

Why Getting Support Early Matters

Research shows that early support after an injury leads to better outcomes.

When emotional and psychological symptoms are addressed early:

  • Anxiety and trauma responses are less likely to intensify
  • Recovery tends to feel more manageable
  • People often return to work sooner and with greater confidence
  • Overall quality of life improves

You don’t have to wait until things get worse to get help.
Support now can make a meaningful difference in how you heal.

How Dalena Can Help You

A Space to Heal, Process, and Rebuild

In our work together, we move at your pace. You don’t need to have the right words or know where to begin.

Together, we can:

  • Rebuild a sense of safety in your body
  • Learn skills you can use at home
  • Gently process the experience of your injury
  • Decrease the trauma responses (flashbacks, nightmares, fear)
  • Reduce anxiety, panic, and intrusive thoughts
  • Navigate fears about returning to work
  • Support you as you navigate the workman's compensation system
  • Adjust to changes in your body, identity, or daily life
  • Meet by telehealth, no travel, sessions from the comfort of your home

My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and tailored to you—not a one-size-fits-all model.

“It’s okay if you’ve never done therapy before—we’ll go at your pace.”

HOW WORKER’S COMP WORKS
