I have a bachelor's degree in music therapy from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in counseling from Prescott College. My specialized post graduate depth music therapy training in the Bonny Method of GIM is from Mid-Atlantic Institute. My MARI training is from Carol Bush and Diane Mardis. I am a certified MARI practitioner through Official MARI. My EMDR training is through the EMDR Institute in 2010. Flash technique and trauma Intensive training is through Ricky Greenwald with Trauma Institute and Child Trauma Institute. I have studied Emotional Freedom Technique through training materials with Gary Craig and the Tapping Solution. I also have a background in Reiki and energy medicine through training with local Reiki Masters.
I have worked in-home providing music therapy services, in-patient facilities (Arizona State Hospital and Arizona Community Protection and Treatment Center), was a clinical music therapy supervisor, in an outpatient agency (Mountain Valley Counseling) and in private practice for approximately 20 years. I have lectured in music therapy programs at ASU and provided preclinical supervision. I have designed and taught 5 classes at Argosy University in the Forensic Psychology Master’s program. I continue to provide in person and on-demand short and full-day workshops and continue education in mental health and creative arts. I was the keynote speaker at the Western Region Music Therapy Conference 2025.
Clinical specialties include trauma (recent and past), complex PTSD and dissociative disorders, sexual offenders, veterans, transgender care and serving the LGBTQIA+ community.
