Consultation can absolutely be a one time meeting. It can also consist of ongoing follow up sessions to address . integration of the topics discussed, new questions and concerns, and results of the actions steps presented.

What you need from consulting and how many sessions you need or want is entirely up to you.

Consultations are provided on a secure video platform.

Custom group consultations are available if you have a small group of like minded clinicians ready to explore leveling up their skills.

Who is consultation for?

Professional consultation is for licensed and certified professionals that want support and guidance from a seasoned professional to prioritize their clinical practice through increased skills, case consultation/conceptualization, and awareness of ethical standards.. It is for professionals who what to provide premium therapeutic services to their clients.

Consultation is also for students considering their next career move and refining their clinical skills.

Who is NOT a good fit for consultation?

Professional consultation is NOT for associate level clinicians looking for supervision hours for professional licensure. It is not for ongoing weekly supervision of your caseload at an agency. It is not a replacement for full training in music therapy, EFT, EMDR, Flash technique, MARI, or GIM.

Consultation is NOT personal therapy.

Consultation is NOT for students who are starting their training program or needing feedback in their preclinicals or internship.

What is your professional background and training?

Dalena Watson has 34 years of combined experience as a MT-BC, FAMI, LPC, and EMDR clinician.

She has supervised and taught music therapy students at Arizona State University, taught music and hypnotic states at SWIHA, She created and supervised a music therapy internship at the Arizona State Hospital and supervised employees.

Dalena has designed and taught classes at Argosy University in their forensic master's of psychology program.

Dalena has provided multiple continuing education classes in person and online and was the keynote speaker at the WRAMTA conference in 2025.

How do I get started consulting with Dalena Watson?

Dalena will have a brief discussion with you to clarify your specific issues and be certain we are a good fit.

You can then schedule in her online calendar (register as "a new client") and choose your time (displayed in MST) and service: professional consultation 25 min or 50-55 min.

Dalena will confirm your appointment time and send a short questionnaire to guide us in the consultation and a consent for professional consultation.

What if I am not located in Arizona?

Dalena can still provide consultation and guidance in all locations. Consultation is not supervision or clinical practice. It focuses on skills, problems solving and decision making. Consultation does not apply for supervised hours for clinical licenses and certifications.

How is confidentiality handled in consultation?

Dalena treats confidentiality in consultation similarly to clinical PHI. Your records/notes are kept confidential. When discussing cases please use as little identifying information as possible.

There are a few instances in which confidentiality can be broken: abuse of a vulnerable person, threat or danger to self or others, with a release of information, reportable ethical offenses to the appropriate licensure board, by court order or in a criminal investigation.

What are your fees and payment methods?

2026 Fees are as follows:

25 min consultation $110

50-55 minute consultation $165

When your session is confirmed, you will be sent a link to your portal to enter a credit card which will be charged at the end of the meeting.

You will be provided with a receipt for professional services that you may be able to use for deductions on your taxes. Please consult your CPA.

Lat cancels and no show fees apply at $75. Dalena prepares for your appointment and is holding open a time for you in her schedule. If you must cancel, please notify 24 hours in advance.
